ShikaTema-strawberry Pocky

~*~(Hey guys! This is Deviation 199!!)~*~

Shikamaru swirled the end of the stick of Pockey that was in his mouth with his eyes closed. He was leaning back on his chair lazily, drifting off into nappy land.
“Shikamaru!!”
He jolted upward when his blonde haired friend entered the room.
“You don’t look busy.”
“Oh..T-Temari, I was just...”
“Being lazy?”
She giggled. He relaxed his shoulders again handing her a scroll.
“Halfway done. Hang around a bit and maybe we can finish this one together.”
He gestured to the blank scroll in his lap. She nodded and sat on the arm of the chair. (I don’t totally know what they do together, or what their jobs are so I’m making this up.)
“Read the names okay Temari?”
“Okay. Alphabetically then...”
She read the names that he had to copy onto the scroll.  He sort of let his thoughts wander again like they normally do when he’s around her.
^Man, she’s all close to me again...could it mean something? I heard her talking with Kankuro about her liking me, and I’m positive I lo-er uh, like her. I mean, she’s so cute, and sweet, and beuti- er- ER-PRETTY! Yeah, that’s it. ^
She looked so innocent with her bright blue eyes facing the paper she held in her soft hands. Her long curled lashes shadowed her eyes beautifully. Shikamaru’s face had a tint of red again.
^I so wish I could tell her how I feel, I’m barely man enough to do that. How could she ever see anything in me? I’m so......not good enough for her I guess. But if only-IF ONLY I COULD JUST TELL HER!! man!! This is such a drag!^
He fidgeted and noticed her head tilted slightly as if to rest on his shoulder.
“I umm...”
He tried to talk.
“Huh? You say somethin?”
“Oh uhn....nothin..”
He grabbed another stick of Pockey and stuck it in his mouth. Thinking silently again, his eyes widened when suddenly Temari delicately bit off the end of the Pockey. The little piece of strawberry candy stuck out between her teeth for a moment as she smiled at him.
She had as many shades of red dancing over her face as he did. Aftter a few moments (they swallowed their candy too! DONT CHOKE ><)  He slowly moved his head towards hers, as she did. It took a slow while, and they tilted their heads to a correct angle, and for the first time, their lips locked.
They both felt like their soul was sucked out of them, and swirled around in their chests floating around with their heart, fluttering wildly. This was truly love. ShikaTema style.
They parted breathing again, with their foreheads pressed together smiling.
