Okay, so I finally get to tell you guys!! On Monday we went to POP's to see Cage the Elephant (of COURSE my brother had to go dammit, he doesn't even listen to music period.) and I was alll 'yaaay'
Oh yeah, my mother made me wear this new skirt and it was RAINING. It was like tissue paper when it got wet, but still flew all over the place as we ran thru the parking lot. As soon as we got inside my parents got patted down (my dad's face was priceless) and I was SO glad I didn't have to get checked. When we got in it was PACKED of course, and we claimed our usual spot directly behind the sound board. I got to remember the beautiful feeling of a live band producing another heartbeat that sunk to the core great feeling, but no one could hear anyone else.
So the firs band (I'm pretty sure) was Killer Me Killer You. They were really awesome. But the next band ROCKED MY WORLD! JANUS was the name, and as they were being announced the guy from the Tom and Jeff show (don't know which) was saying "So what do you get when you take the J out of Janus? That's right ANUS!!" Awesome. The guitar player was REALLY hot, then I got a good look at the singer David Scotney. He was ideal! They were amazing. Breathtaking. Lots of beautiful screaming and headbanging on stage. I got a lot on my camera but the audio is horrible, so I'll paste it together with the song MP3s eventually.
So they announced that they were selling their albums of the songs they were playing with a free autographed poster, so I went over to my dad going "Dad! They're selling CDs!"
"Yeah?"
"I want!!"
After the crowd died out a little, we headed over there. The Tom and Jeff guy wiggled past us twice, me and my dad were like 80
When we were really close to the table, my dad's like "Do you have the camera?"
"Sam has it."

THE SINGER AND DRUM GUY WAS RIGHT THERE
I shyly stepped up and we got the CD for ten bucks (sweeet) and the drumist knawed through the CD wrapping, popped it in half to sign the little booklet and let the singer sign. Then he reassembled the case and handed it over, then they signed the poster too. Then my dad goes "Can you give her a hug?"
NO FUCKIN CAMERA!!
The lead singer looks at me and goes "I'm a little sweaty!"
And he hugged me over the table- it was glorious. No camera. DAMN! But I loved it. And he is really really really hot. I'll show you the poster so you can see the outfits they wore!
Oh and there are so many sexy guys at Pops. You wouldn't believe. And when I was perched on the stairs, the sexiest guy in the place sat two steps down. God it was amazing.
